Seven Ways to Strengthen Your Aura
Aura is a protective shield we are blessed with the moment we step foot on the material plane. It is like our bodyguard, repelling all the negativity and bad energies. A seven-layered, egg shaped, translucent structure, without our aura we cannot hope to exist even for a single second. Just as Prana or breath keeps us going, our aura is the reason we function spiritually. It is a reflection of the seven chakras and comes in the colors of vibgyor. If I have to define aura, I would say it is the electromagnetic field surrounding both living and non-living things. Everything that has an existence in the universe has an aura to itself. It is debatable if non-living things have an aura too, but of what less or more I have learnt in my spiritual journey, I would say they do.
Have you ever noticed when you meet certain people you are just drawn to them while others are repelled with just a single conversation? The cause for anyone to have such an effect lies in their frequency or energy they resonate with or in simpler words the status of their aura.
Often people with balanced and clean aurawill be like a magnet and wherever they will go, they will hold the center while those with leaking, dark or dirty aura will not be faced with contempt. As sad as this may sound, but your aura defines your connection to both the inner and the outside world and is the most important facet. So, what should we do to have a strong aura that attracts everyone or atleast not be repelled away.
Here are some of the ways to enjoy a strong, healthy aura at all times:
7 Ways to strengthen your aura:
We often hear, especially from pranic healers that one should take salt-water baths and cleanse their aura. One can use sea salt or Epsom salt or rock salt, as these salts are rich in their connection to nature, are energetically powerful & natural cleanser. They are less processed and if one can find pieces rather than powdered form, it is better. Simply add a few pieces or 2-3 spoons of powdered version of the water five minutes before taking bath. Also, wash your hair with salt water as it may lead to hair fall. The salt will effectively rinse you off stress, negativity, fatigue etc. from your body. If you have a tub, you can soak in the salted water for minimum 20 minutes or simply rub sea salt on your skin.
2. Meditate
The soothing rewards of meditation cannot be explained in words because it helps to enhance the strength and positivity of the aura. We are often exposed to tamasic energies or dark places/people. If we are aware of such situations approaching us, we can simply meditate beforehand and create a protection shield around us. With so many forms of meditation available, you can pick any that resonates the most with you and meditate on it or you can simply perform the white light meditation, where you can imagine a ball of white light surrounding you, protecting you and not letting anyone’s negative energy enter your ball of white light.
3. Satsang
Satsang basically means keeping a good company. Here, I would like to emphasize on how keeping a positive, healthy and charged company will enhance your aura. As we meet people, we pick up energies from there, especially from our loved ones who we meet more often than others. Therefore, having a good company where you discuss about religious, spiritual or positive topics, will add similar impressions on one’s mind as well as a protective layer. Every time we enter into temples or spas or meet our spiritual masters, we experience a different kind of peace and positivity. The balanced and shimmering aura of the place attracts us to such pious or wellness places. If you cannot find like-minded people spiritually, you can find & join groups who have positive discussions and discourses.
4. Aura Shower
I learned this age old, simple and effective technique from a very dear friend & a learned spiritual guru of mine. I will share it here for everyone to make use of it. Aura Shower allows us to balance our aura immediately and undertake any color on ourselves. Be seated in a secluded place for 10 minutes and close your eyes. Imagine you are seated under a waterfall and the water is pouring on your head washing each and every pore of your body. The cold/warm/hot water is seeping into your body and from your feet it is washing off all the negativity. As you experience complete stillness you can pick a specific color that comes to you at the time of meditation. This color is now the color of the water from the waterfall and washing all over you. With long, deep breaths, you can keep at the whole procedures as long as you please. Simply perform this activity and let us know how you felt. I bet you will feel replenished, calmer and refreshed.
5. Natural Grounding
Nature is abundant and invigorating. We come from nature, are nature and go back to the source that is nature. When we do not connect to nature for a long time due to our busy schedules, we restrict our energies and do not allow them to vibrate on higher frequencies. Just like plants need sunlight, earth and water to grow, human beings need all of this as well. It is said that our main food is sunlight, but unlike plants we cannot process sunlight directly, therefore we have to consume it through food. Therefore, it is necessary that we revisit earth by walking barefoot on the grass, dipping our feet or whole body in free flowing natural water (river, lake, waterfall) and soak sunlight every day for 10-20 minutes with 40% body exposed.
6. Crystals
Crystals are powerful and reflects sun’s light into your aura. When a specific color is added in your aura with the help of the crystal, it starts reflecting the benefits of the same color. Every color adds certain aspects or qualities in your life. Crystals also help in protecting from psychic attacks, negativity and fear. Wearing or keeping these crystals with you will safeguard you from any negative entity entering your space. Some of the crystals to use are: Black Tourmaline for aura protection, clear quartz for energizing the aura & suck in negativity, amethyst to get in tune with your spirituality etc.
7. Chant
Lastly but the most important way to keep your aura clean and pure is to chant mantras. Mantras are hymns that protect the mind and body and hold great vibrational power to them. When we regularly chant the mantras we develop a connection with the words of the mantra and these words starts resonating & working for us. You can ask your spiritual master to help you with mantras or ask your elders to tell you one.
Our space defines our entire existence and if we are unable to keep up with a clean, strong and a whole aura, there is no way we can hope to progress in our life spiritually, physically, materially or emotionally.
